Russia exports 13 mln tons of agricultural products to Africa in nine months — Putin
Meanwhile, Africa possesses its own agricultural potential and can provide itself with food on its own, the Russian leader said
MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Russia’s exports of agricultural products to African countries totaled 13 million metric tons in the first nine months of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum.
"In the nine months of 2026, our country exported 13 million metric tons of agricultural products to Africa. Deliveries to some countries increased many times over. They increased by many times, not by percentage points," Putin stressed.
Meanwhile, Africa possesses its own agricultural potential and can provide itself with food on its own, the Russian leader said.
"I believe that this is one of the key tasks for the continent," Putin said.
"We offer advanced agrarian solutions, seeds, fertilizer, agricultural equipment and transport, store and process food products. We have very good plans with some states of the continent for building hubs both for agricultural products and equipment," the Russian leader said.
