MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Any attempts to exclude Russia from global gas market players have serious consequences, President Vladimir Putin said at the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.

"Any attempts to exclude Russia from participants of the global gas market and restrict development of this sector in our country have serious consequences. Above all, these are growing exorbitant costs for foreign end consumers of gas, companies, businesses and households," Putin said.

Russian gas companies faced certain difficulties in recent years, including restrictions from the side of certain countries, the head of state added.
