MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. International gas prices increased dramatically amid global political developments, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.

"The world gas industry has found itself in the situation of uncertainty. Traditional business ties were undermined. Prices increased dramatically, but we all understand that they can also roll back sharply, return to the previous level," the head of state said.

The industry experiences serious shocks, including aggravation of the situation in the Middle East - one of global gas production centers, explosions at Nord Stream pipelines, disruptions of traditional logistical chains and supply routes, and international barriers against purchases of relevant equipment and technologies, Putin added.
