Fourth tanker carrying diesel for export to sail tomorrow — deputy PM Novak
Alexander Novak said three tankers carrying diesel had already departed from Russian ports
MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. A fourth tanker carrying diesel for export is set to depart from Russia on October 28, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit.
According to Novak, three tankers carrying diesel have already departed from Russian ports.
"We expect it on the 28th," he said, responding to a question about when the fourth tanker would set sail.
On October 23, the deputy prime minister told reporters that the first three fuel tankers were already en route to global markets, including the United States, with significant support from the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). Novak noted that Rosneft could provide the bulk of diesel exports to global markets and the US.
On October 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump held a phone call to discuss, among other things, the supply of petroleum products. Putin stated that Moscow had confirmed its readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to both American and global markets.
Earlier, Novak told TASS that Russia was beginning to lift its ban on diesel exports ahead of schedule. He indicated that Russia was prepared to supply 300,000 tonnes of diesel in October, 500,000 tonnes in November, and 1 million tonnes in December, with the potential to eventually increase this volume to 3 million tonnes per month.
