MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. The world gas industry needs a floor for the depoliticized dialogue and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) fits this role, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.
"I would like to note that the global gas industry has found itself in a challenging situation in the environment of dramatic aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, in one of global gas production centers, after terrorist acts against Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines, introduction of illegitimate Western restrictions on procurement of gas, relevant equipment and technologies," the presidential aide said.
"A platform is objectively needed in this situation, which offers an opportunity to hold professional depoliticized dialogue. The Gas Exporting Countries Forum is exactly such platform," Ushakov added.
