Russia proposes SCO members expand cooperation in AI — PM
Mikhail Mishustin highlighted that Russia is scaling the practice of using artificial intelligence across economy, public administration and the social field
DUSHANBE, October 20. /TASS/. Russia suggests that member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) expand cooperation in the area of artificial intelligence, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"We propose expanding cooperation in the area of artificial intelligence to strengthen technological sovereignty and improve our economies’ competitiveness," he said at a meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government.
"Russia is consistently developing its own large language models, increasing computing power, and scaling the practice of using artificial intelligence across economy, public administration, and the social field," Mishustin said. He also proposed tasking relevant agencies with jointly working on proposals put forward by SCO members.
