BANGKOK, October 18. /TASS/. Russia is ready to transfer its technologies, provide services, sell goods, and help the countries of the Global South develop, Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said in an interview with TASS after participating in the autumn session of the governing bodies of the IMF and the World Bank.

"Today Russia is a country that can actively share knowledge, actively transfer its technologies, provide services, sell goods, and help other countries develop. And, first and foremost, of course, we are talking about the countries of the Global South, with which we are developing our trade and economic ties. This is why we are interested in this cooperation," he said.

Overchuk said that at one time the World Bank’s international country rating "Doing Business" played a significant role in improving the business climate in various countries around the world, including Russia.

"Our work on this rating was coordinated by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Many federal executive bodies and regions were involved in it," he said.

"Indeed, thanks to that systematic work we have significantly improved the business environment in the Russian Federation, reduced the costs associated with the interaction between the state and business, and became stronger and more competitive. Now a new World Bank rating is emerging, aimed at improving the business environment, and this is also useful work.".
