Russia capable of integrating all energy sources into its mix — aide
Anton Kobyakov noted that the Russian Federation is the only country in the world fully linked by a unified national power grid that is integrated with EAEU member states
MOSCOW, October 16. /TASS/. Russia is capable of building a balanced energy mix that incorporates all types of energy sources, Presidential Aide Anton Kobyakov told a press conference at the Russian Energy Week (REW) 2026 forum.
"Russia is the only country in the world capable of building an energy mix based on a rational combination of all types of energy sources – both non-renewable and renewable," Kobyakov said. "Our wealth of natural resources, high level of technological development, and the Soviet legacy of multi-layered safety redundancy for energy infrastructure serve as a foundation for moving forward. Its external boundaries are shaped by the pressure exerted on Russia, primarily through sanctions, and, in the current climate, by attacks on our infrastructure."
Kobyakov also noted that the Russian Federation is the only country in the world fully linked by a unified national power grid that is integrated with EAEU member states.
