MOSCOW, October 16. /TASS/. Moscow is ready to offer comprehensive solutions in the electric power sector to African countries, being prepared for geological exploration, extraction, and gas supplies, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev said.
"Russian companies are prepared to conduct geological exploration, carry out extraction, and supply gas," he told reporters on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week.
African countries are long-term markets for Russian technologies, the minister added. "Our country can offer a comprehensive solution: modernizing existing hydroelectric power plants, building solar and thermal power stations, laying power grids, supplying substations and transformers, and establishing energy system management and dispatch control centers," he stressed.
Russia offers not only the supply of resources and equipment but also the comprehensive development of African countries’ own energy sectors, including the training of local specialists, the hiring of local workers, and educational programs, the minister noted.
