MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. The Lada Iskra will rank among the top ten best-selling car models in Russia by the end of 2026, AvtoVAZ CEO Maxim Sokolov said during a session at the PromSpace National Industrial Congress.

"Last year, we launched production of the Lada Iskra, and I am confident that by the end of this year, it will be among the ten best-selling models in our country," he said.

According to the Avtostat analytical agency, Lada Iskra sales in September 2026 surged 35.8-fold year-on-year, reaching 3,400 vehicles. Over the nine-month period, 25,200 cars were sold - a 196.7-fold increase compared to the previous year. For both periods, the model ranked eighth among the best-selling new passenger cars in Russia.

Serial production of the Lada Iskra began on April 19, 2025, and sales launched on July 18, 2025. The model is available in three body styles: sedan, SW station wagon, and SW Cross station wagon.
