MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. The Moscow Exchange plans to provide the opportunity to trade cryptocurrency from December 1 under the new legislation, Senior Managing Director of the Moscow Exchange Boris Blokhin told reporters.

"We will be conducting testing right up until the launch. We plan to provide such opportunity to trade cryptocurrency within the framework of new laws on December 1," he noted.

The new regulation also allows the Moscow Exchange to use its current trading organizer license, Blokhin said. "Therefore, everything is very easy, both for the participants and for us, meaning we are using the stock market infrastructure on which digital assets will be traded. Thus, no additional entry into registries is required from the exchange," he added.

"We are already actively testing cryptocurrency trading; it began a week ago, and transactions are currently being executed. We invite trading participants to join the testing. The execution of transactions with digital currencies is being tested within the framework of the stock market. This is a test environment to support digital currency trading, testing the functionality that will later be deployed in the process environment," Blokhin said.
