Norilsk Nickel maintains conservative approach to dividends
The company operates in markets experiencing quite a lot of external shocks, Norilsk Nickel Director of the Investor Community Relations Department Tatiana Dykova noted
MOSCOW, October 8. /TASS/. Norilsk Nickel maintains a conservative approach to the issue of dividends, as financial sustainability is important for the company, said Tatiana Dykova, Director of the Investor Community Relations Department at the Russian mining and metals company.
"We still remain conservative in our approach and the management focuses on the free cash flow. Therefore, if the conditions we mentioned earlier are met, where we earn a positive free cash flow and have a comfortable debt burden, taking into account all external macroeconomic circumstances and conditions in the commodities markets, we are ready to distribute the corresponding level of cash available with us for dividends. Thus, we are quite consistent in our communication, quite conservative, and it is very important for us that the company's financial profile remains stable," she said.
The company operates in markets experiencing quite a lot of external shocks, Dykova noted. "This applies not only to the commodities markets we are talking about now, but also, accordingly, to the macroeconomic factors present for us," she added.
The company has returned to the "dividend track," the department director said at the same time. Earlier, Norilsk Nickel shareholders approved a dividend payout of 1.85 rubles ($0.022) per share for January-June 2026 at an extraordinary general meeting.
