ST. PETERSBURG, October 8. /TASS/. The Gazprom Space Systems Company uses three satellites to provide seamlessly a complete communication area for Gazprom companies in the Arctic, the company's First Deputy CEO Pyotr Korviakov said at the OMR 2026 conference.
"Gazprom Space Systems has organized services in the Arctic Region, including along the Northern Sea Route and areas adjacent to the Trans-Arctic Region, where we are using three satellites that form a complete service area for this region and, accordingly, allow for efficient operation with all facilities, both marine and ground infrastructure facilities that ensure the transport corridor's operation, including in the seamless mode," he said.
For this purpose, we have organized a ground-based infrastructure of several control stations and we have a special resource to support this system's operation, he added.
Gazprom's satellites ensure stable communications across the company's entire infrastructure in the Arctic, as well as at other facilities up to Spitsbergen, he said.
