Presidential aide discusses cooperation between Russian, Chinese shipbuilders in Shanghai

During a visit to the Shanghai Waigaoqiao shipyard, Nikolay Patrushev and its management discussed opportunities for Chinese shipyards’ engineering departments and Russian shipbuilders’ design bureaus to exchange expertise

SHANGHAI, October 8. /TASS/. Russian Presidential Aide and Maritime Board Chairman Nikolay Patrushev discussed strengthening ties between Russian and Chinese shipbuilding companies in Shanghai, the board’s press service said.

During a visit to the Shanghai Waigaoqiao shipyard, Patrushev and its management discussed "strengthening cooperation between Russian and Chinese shipbuilding companies, as well as opportunities for Chinese shipyards’ engineering departments and Russian shipbuilders’ design bureaus to exchange expertise," the press service said.

Patrushev is on a working visit to China from October 8 to 12. He will hold talks on Russian-Chinese maritime cooperation. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said earlier that Beijing was ready to use Patrushev’s visit as an opportunity to further deepen its strategic dialogue with Russia.
