Russia’s National Wealth Fund totals $151.85 bln as of October 1

The fund’s liquid assets totaled $44.45 bln as of October 1, or 1.6% of GDP projected for 2026, equivalent to $45 bln

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Russia’s National Wealth Fund totaled 12.98 trillion rubles ($151.85 bln) as of October 1, 2026, or 5.5% of GDP projected for 2026, according to the Russian Finance Ministry’s website. The National Wealth Fund was equivalent to $153.8 bln.

The fund’s liquid assets totaled 3.8 trillion rubles ($44.45 bln) as of October 1, or 1.6% of GDP projected for 2026, equivalent to $45 bln. The fund’s liquid assets stood at 4 trillion rubles ($46.79 bln) as of September 1.

The total estimated income from the placement of the National Wealth Fund’s money in foreign currency accounts with the Bank of Russia, recalculated in US dollars, amounted to $78.8 mln from December 15, 2025, through September 30, 2026, equivalent to 6.7 bln rubles ($78.38 mln).

Exchange rate differences on the fund’s foreign currency-denominated assets and the revaluation of the gold in which the fund’s resources are invested totaled 384.4 bln rubles ($4.50 bln) from January 1 through September 30, 2026.

As of October 1, the National Wealth Fund held 184.4 bln Chinese yuan and 131.7 metric tons of gold in accounts with the Bank of Russia.
