Russian agricultural exports gain more than 15% as of late September — PM

According to Mikhail Mishustin, the use of domestic seeds for sunflower, colza, sugar beet, soybeans and corn is growing proactively

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Russian agricultural exports surged by more than 15% as of the end of September, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"According to late September data, the volumes of agricultural product exports grew by more than 15%, which evidences the demand in place for domestic food and agricultural commodities," Mishustin noted.

One more national project on the technology support of food security was launched last year to enhance competitiveness of agribusiness, the prime minister said.

"Positive dynamics is in place in each of key areas. The use of domestic seeds is growing proactively exactly for crops where there was high dependence on foreign selection. These are sunflower, colza, sugar beet, as well as soybeans and corn," he added.
