Russia’s services PMI stands at 51.3 in September
An index reading above 50 points indicates an expansion in business activity
MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. Russia’s Services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) stood at 51.3 points in September 2026, unchanged from August, according to an S&P Global survey.
"The seasonally adjusted S&P Global Russia Services PMI Business Activity Index posted 51.3 in September, matching the reading recorded in August, to signal another modest upturn in service sector output levels. Greater activity was often linked to increased new orders and successful marketing campaigns. The rate of growth was below the series average, however," the report said.
Operating expenses at service-sector companies increased. Nevertheless, the rate of input price inflation remained the lowest in 2026. At the same time, output charges at Russian service companies rose at a slower pace in September.
An index reading above 50 points indicates an expansion in business activity, while a reading below that level indicates a slowdown.
