Trade turnover amounted to $32.8 bln
MINSK, October 1. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Russia and Belarus soared by 14% to $32.8 bln in January - July 2026 and may be above the last-year result of $51.9 bln as of the end of this year, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov told reporters on the sidelines of the Innoprom. Belarus exhibition.
"The Russian-Belarusian trade turnover is demonstrating stable positive dynamics. It grew by 14% over January - July, having amounted to $32.8 bln," the minister said. "While the trade turnover reached $51.9 bln as of 2025 year-end, we also expect this volume to be surpassed this year," he noted.
Chemical fibers, railway engines and rolling stock, domestic appliances, computers and peripheral devices, detergents and cleaning supplies are among growth drivers of Russian exports, Alikhanov said. Belarus is scaling up deliveries of communication equipment, pulp and paper industry equipment, lighting fixtures, perfumery and cosmetics, as well as leather and leather goods.
"I would like that the trade structure is rather diversified: apart from industrial products, energy, agricultural products and intellectual property items take a significant share. Relations between our countries continue intensifying," Alikhanov added.
The Innoprom. Belarus international industrial exhibition is underway in Minsk from September 30 to October 2. TASS is the general news agency of the exhibition.
