MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Russia is preparing agreements to liberalize visa regimes with a number of Asian countries and does not intend to artificially delay the process, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said in an interview with TASS.

"Facilitating mutual travel by citizens is one of the priorities of the Russian Foreign Ministry, including in the Asian direction. We are currently actively working to conclude agreements to liberalize travel regimes with a number of countries, including China. At the same time, it is too early to talk about when they will be signed. But we do not intend to artificially delay this process," the deputy minister said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed making the visa-free regime between Russia and China permanent during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek.
