MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin sent a message of greetings to the participants, organizers, and guests of the 23rd International Banking Forum, emphasizing the importance of a balanced approach to financial market development.

"Today, the forum’s participants are focusing on key trends in financial market development," the prime minister said in his message, published on the government’s website. "Success in this area depends largely on striking a balance between innovation and regulation, advanced technologies and consumer protection. This approach is essential to building a sustainable ecosystem," he added.

Mishustin noted that new infrastructure is becoming the main driver of change. "The introduction of the digital ruble and fast payment systems is transforming the modern financial services landscape. Artificial intelligence is helping automate processes and personalize offerings. Importantly, security, cybersecurity, and technological sovereignty are ensured through domestic solutions, systems, and data protection mechanisms," he said.

The prime minister described the International Banking Forum as a major business event where banking industry representatives, leading experts, and analysts discuss pressing professional issues.

"I am confident that the International Banking Forum will provide an opportunity to exchange best practices. By joining forces, we can address any challenges of today and do everything necessary to further develop and strengthen our national banking and financial system," Mishustin stressed, wishing the forum’s participants productive discussions and engaging exchanges.

The 23rd International Banking Forum is taking place in St. Petersburg from September 23 to 26.
