MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Russia’s 2026 harvest is gradually entering its final stage, with grain and oilseed harvests exceeding last year’s levels, the office of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev said following a meeting on the development of Russian agricultural exports.

"The harvesting of the new crop is gradually entering its final stage. Harvest volumes so far are higher than last year for both grains and oilseeds. In this regard, it is important to prevent oversupply and ensure steady deliveries of products both to the domestic market and for export. The processes must be organized efficiently, making use of all available logistics capabilities," Patrushev said, as quoted in the statement.

The deputy prime minister also said that the Russian government is taking various support measures to ensure uninterrupted shipments of agricultural products. In particular, around 10 bln rubles has been allocated to subsidize rail transportation of agricultural products from regions that traditionally produce large harvests. In addition, the necessary measures in the area of customs and tariff regulation have been developed. In particular, grain export duties have been suspended through the end of the year, while the maximum duty on vegetable oil and meal has been fixed at the August 2026 level.

Patrushev stressed the importance of making efficient use of transport infrastructure and clearly organizing processes at every stage of cargo shipments. The Russian Transport Ministry and Agriculture Ministry have been instructed to ensure that work in this area is properly organized and to keep the issue under constant review.
