MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Gazprom increased sales of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for fueling vehicles and off-grid gas supply on the Russian market by nearly 25% in 2025, the company said in a statement.

"The small-scale LNG segment is growing rapidly in Russia. It is in demand for fueling various types of vehicles and equipment, as well as for off-grid gas supply. In 2025, the Gazprom Group sold 57,100 metric tons of LNG on the domestic market, up 24.9% from 2024," the statement said.

Construction of the second phase of a small-scale LNG production complex in the Amur Region is nearing completion, the company noted. Once the second phase is commissioned, the facility’s capacity will double to 25,200 metric tons per year. The additional volumes are intended to meet growing demand for LNG in the region.

Gazprom also supplies large-scale LNG from the Sakhalin-2 project to consumers in the Asia-Pacific region. Work is also underway to develop new production capacity in Russia.

"According to current forecasts, global demand for liquefied natural gas will exceed 900 bln cubic meters by 2035, 1.5 times the 2025 level. The main growth is expected to come from countries in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly China and India," the company said.
