Russia’s coal output falls by 1.8% in January - July to 249 million tons — Rosstat

Production of all types of hard coal decreased by 2.3% to 192 million tons

MOSCOW, August 26. /TASS/. Russia’s coal production decreased by 1.8% in January-July compared to the same period last year, according to state statistical agency Rosstat.

Production of all types of hard coal decreased by 2.3% to 192 million tons, and anthracite by 1.9% to 12.1 million tons.

Production of coking coal increased by 1.2% to 64.3 million tons. Brown coal production amounted to 56.6 million tons (-0.1%). Other hard coal production decreased by 4.3% to 116 million tons.
