Imports of new electric vehicles to Russia increased by 116.5% in July 2026 compared with the same month last year
MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. Imports of new electric vehicles to Russia increased by 116.5% in July 2026 compared with the same month last year, reaching 1,200 units, Autostat CEO Sergey Tselikov said on his Telegram channel.
"In July, 1,210 new electric vehicles were imported into Russia, up 116.5% from July of last year," he said.
According to Tselikov, 1,500 new electric vehicles were imported into the country over the previous six months. Meanwhile, total imports in January-July of this year amounted to 2,700 units, down 11.3% year on year.
The most popular models among electric vehicles imported in July were the Avatr 11 (343 units), Avatr 12 (305 units), and Changan Qiyuan Q05 (267 units).
The top 10 also included the Toyota BZ3 (82 units), GAC Aion V (57 units), BYD Yuan (28 units), GAC Hyptec HT (20 units), BYD Dolphin (13 units), Zeekr 001 (8 units), and Xiaomi YU7 (7 units).
