VLADIVOSTOK, August 13. /TASS/. Russia and Malaysia have agreed to expand cooperation between special economic zones, including joint participation in international advanced development territories in the Far East, Zambry Abdul Kadir, Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, said at the meeting of the joint Russian-Malaysian commission.

"Both sides agreed to develop cooperation between special economic zones, including inviting Malaysian representatives to the fourth International forum of special economic zones in Moscow, and participating jointly in international advanced development territories in the Russian Far East," he said.

The fifth meeting of the joint Russian-Malaysian commission on economic, scientific-technical, and cultural cooperation co-chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and Zambry Abdul Kadir is taking place on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University on August 13.

Particular attention is being paid to trade and investment cooperation, agriculture, energy, tourism, and cultural exchanges, as well as the development of ties in areas of science and education.
