MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. The price of gold futures contracts for December 2026 delivery on the Comex exchange (a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange) has risen above $4,500 per troy ounce for the first time since June 5, 2026, according to trading data.
As of 4.00 p.m. Moscow time (1:00 p.m. GMT), the gold price was up by 1.39% at $4,502.7 per troy ounce. By 4.05 p.m. Moscow time (1:05 p.m. GMT), the price of gold had narrowed gains to 1.11% as it traded at $4,490.5 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the price of silver futures contracts for September 2026 delivery was up by 2.26% at $66.4 per troy ounce.
