MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. Russia’s Rosatom has completed construction on the Siberian Ring Photon Source (SKIF) mega science compound, the press service reported.
"Rosatom has finished building SKIF, Russia’s first Generation 4+ synchrotron radiation source with an energy of three gigaelectronvolts. The facility was designed by nuclear industry specialists, among others," the statement said.
The Siberian Ring Photon Source is a complex of 34 buildings, facilities, and engineering and technological equipment spanning approximately 90,000 square meters. It will be used to conduct research on synchrotron radiation beams. SKIF is one of Russia’s largest research infrastructure project.
