YEREVAN, August 10. /TASS/. Armenia has imported 20,000 tonnes of petroleum products from Azerbaijan over the past year, with both nations working to expand bilateral trade, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement marking the anniversary of the Washington summit.

"Following the spirit of the Peace Summit held at the White House, Azerbaijan unilaterally lifted all transit restrictions on Armenia. Over the past year, approximately 60,000 tonnes of cargo were transported to and from Armenia through Azerbaijani territory. Azerbaijan also supplied Armenia with 20,000 tonnes of petroleum products. Both countries continue working to boost bilateral trade," the ministry said in the statement.

On August 8, 2025, in Washington, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration on a peaceful settlement between Baku and Yerevan, which included establishing transport links between mainland Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.
