MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. The volume of agricultural exports from Ukraine between August 1 and 5 totaled 312,900 tons, down by 60.1% from 784,500 tons in the same period in July, Spike Brokers, a Ukrainian brokerage firm acting as a commercial agent in the country’s grain and oilseed markets, reported on Telegram.

Export revenue fell by 38.4% from $326.9 mln to $201.5 mln. The sharpest decline was seen in grains as wheat exports amounted to 93,200 tons during the first six days of August compared to 294,900 tons in early July, while corn exports equaled 33,500 tons compared to 293,700 tons.

Sunflower oil exports fell from 52,100 tons to 30,700 tons.

In early August, Kiev requested 220 mln euros in non-repayable aid from the European Commission to support agricultural producers amid the standstill of the country’s seaports. The funds are intended to subsidize interest payments on loans for small and medium-sized agricultural producers. Ukrainian authorities have indicated that agricultural exports in the 2026-2027 marketing year could fall from 64.4 mln tons to 29.6 mln tons due to the prolonged blockade of ports. Storage facilities could be completely full as early as October, leaving over 9 mln tons of grain and oilseeds at risk of lacking the necessary storage capacity.
