MOSCOW, August 7. /TASS/. A number of Naftogaz oil and gas companies in eastern Ukraine have halted their operations due to major damage.

"Equipment critical to the company's operations has been destroyed, leading to the shutdown of several facilities and a significant loss in production volumes," Naftogaz said on its Telegram channel.

According to the company, overnight, damage was done to seven oil and gas production facilities in the east of the country.

Earlier, Naftogaz has repeatedly reported damage to its infrastructure.
