Russia, Kyrgyzstan sign agreement to establish unified mobile operator

CHOLPON-ATA /Kyrgyzstan/, August 6. /TASS/. Russia and Kyrgyzstan have signed an agreement to establish a unified mobile operator during the 8th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum, Chairman of the Board of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund Artyom Novikov said.
"An agreement has been signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation to establish a seamless mobile operator, which will significantly simplify travel and communication for citizens of both countries," he said.
This is "one of the important initiatives within the framework of the interstate digital agenda," Novikov added.
The 8th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum is taking place in the city of Cholpon-Ata located on the shores of the resort lake Issyk-Kul. Representatives from dozens of companies from both countries are participating in the event.
