Attracted investment in Far East has reached almost $80 bln — Russian Deputy PM Trutnev

The Far East continues to grow at a pace exceeding Russia’s average, Yury Trutnev stressed

MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. The volume of attracted investment in the Far East has reached 6.5 trillion rubles ($79.9 bln), exceeding the target of 5.8 trillion rubles set for the current period, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev said.

"You have set the task of reaching an investment level of 12 trillion rubles by 2030. I would like to report that this task is being fulfilled. This year we were supposed to reach the 5.8 trillion level by this point. <…> We are currently at 6.5 [trillion rubles]," he said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

The Far East continues to grow at a pace exceeding Russia’s average, Trutnev added. The volume of investment in the macro-region is 1.5 times the national average, with industrial production 1.2 times higher, manufacturing output 1.8 times higher, while the volume of construction works 1.5 times higher, he noted.
