MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. The price of gold futures contracts for August delivery on the Comex exchange has declined below $4,000 per troy ounce for the first time since July 20, 2026, according to trading data.

As of 5:00 p.m. Moscow time (2:00 p.m. GMT) the gold price was down by 0.98% at $3,999.1 per troy ounce. By 5:13 p.m. Moscow time (2:13 p.m. GMT) the price of gold had extended losses to 1.11% reaching $3,993.8 per ounce.
