MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. The business program of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in 2026 will include over 70 sessions, organized into five thematic blocks, the press service of Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev announced.

"The business program will include more than 70 sessions, divided into five thematic blocks: 'Living and Working in the Far East,' 'Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investments,' 'The Far East - a Pole of International Interaction,' 'Technologies of the Present and Future,' and 'Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth,'" the statement reads.

Trutnev noted that the forum remains a key platform for developing breakthrough solutions.

"The Eastern Economic Forum, held at the behest of the head of state, has become one of the most effective tools for the development of the Far East. "The forum remains a key platform for developing breakthrough solutions and concluding major investment agreements that will improve the lives of thousands of Far Easterners and northerners," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

According to Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee, the Eastern Economic Forum program traditionally aims to bring together representatives of government, business, and the expert community to develop cutting-edge solutions across all sectors.

"This year, it reflects such important areas as achieving technological sovereignty, developing international cooperation, creating a sustainable economic space, and other topics. I am confident that the work at the EEF will result in the development of relevant solutions that will be part of Russia's long-term development strategy and ensure leadership in all key areas," he said.

Forum Program

The "Living and Working in the Far East" block will focus on the implementation of master plans for 25 Far Eastern cities, rental housing construction, and the new Strategy for Socioeconomic Development of the Far Eastern Federal District until 2036.

The "Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investment" block will focus on the creation of a new advanced development area, the development of the Eastern Financial Center, the introduction of digital financial assets, and capital attraction into the Far East economy.

The "Far East - A Pole of International Interaction" block will discuss the development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island, as well as business dialogues with representatives from China, India, the UAE, Mongolia, Vietnam, and ASEAN countries.

The "Technologies of the Present and Future" block will bring together discussions on the creation of data centers, the robotization of production, and the introduction of driverless vehicles.

Separate section "Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth" will focus on the development of the Northern Delivery System, transport infrastructure, increasing the macroregion's energy independence, and air travel accessibility.

In addition, EEF 2026 will host the Creative Industries Forum, the Youth Forum "Day of the Future," the SME Forum, the International Forum "Falcon Day," and the APEC Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education.

The Eastern Economic Forum will be held September 1-4 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The main theme of this year's EEF is "The Far East: Development for the Benefit of People." The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian government.
