India sees broad opportunities for industrial cooperation with Russia — official
According to Singh Bhatia, promising sector of interaction include critical minerals and mineral processing, mining and metallurgy, transportation and railways
NEW DELHI, July 3. /TASS/. India sees significant opportunities to expand cooperation with Russia across a wide range of sectors that contribute to industrial growth, technological development, and strengthening the resilience of supply chains, Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, told TASS ahead of his visit to Russia.
"India sees considerable opportunities for cooperation with Russia across a wide range of sectors that support industrial growth, technological advancement and supply chain resilience," he said.
According to Bhatia, promising sector of interaction include "critical minerals and mineral processing, mining and metallurgy, transportation and railways, advanced manufacturing, chemicals and specialty materials, pharmaceuticals and medical technologies, industrial machinery, shipbuilding, energy technologies and emerging technologies."
Bhatia is heading to Russia to take part in the ninth meeting of the India-Russia Working Group on Priority Investment Projects. This group is currently "oversees a diverse portfolio of projects spanning manufacturing, transportation, mining, chemicals, healthcare, advanced technologies and critical minerals."
