Frozen trout supplies surge by 25% in physical and by 20% in value terms to 12,000 metric tons worth $79 mln, the association informed

MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. Russian fish imports from Turkey declined by 7% in physical terms and by 6% in value terms to 20,000 metric tons worth $134 mln, the Fish Union reported.

"The share of Russia in Turkish exports of fish and seafood contracted (year on year) by one percentage point in January - May 2026 in kind (to 28%) and dropped by four percentage terms in money value (to 26%), the analytical center of the Fish Union calculated on the basis of data of the Turkish customs service.

"Supplies of frozen trout from Turkey to Russia gained 25% in physical terms and increased by 20% in value terms to 12,000 tons totaling $79 mln," the union said. Chilled trout imports lost 35% in physical terms and 40% in money terms to 5,000 metric tons ($34 mln).

Frozen dorado supplies fell by 40% physically and by 30% in money value to 1,000 metric tons ($7 mln). Chilled dorado deliveries lost 10% in physical terms but edged up by 5% in value terms.

Imports of frozen seabass dropped by 20% in physical terms and increased by 10% in money terms to 300 metric tons ($2.7 mln). Imports of chilled seabass lost 10% in weight but surged by 25% in value terms to 700 metric tons ($6.3 mln), the Fish Union said.
