YEREVAN, May 26. /TASS/. Armenia and the United States have signed the comprehensive Strategic Partnership Charter, according to a live broadcast on Armenian TV channels.

The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

"The charter on comprehensive strategic partnership between Armenia and the US is being signed," said an announcement made at the signing ceremony.

The top Armenian diplomat pointed out after the ceremony that Yerevan and Washington had recently elevated strategic cooperation to a new level, describing it as comprehensive strategic partnership.

"I must emphasize that strategic comprehensive relations between our countries are now stronger than ever. It is no exaggeration to say that we have entered a historic phase, given periodic bilateral processes," Mirzoyan noted.
