KAZAN, May 15. /TASS/. Tatneft expects to increase oil production this year and has the capacity to do so, the company’s CEO Nail Maganov told reporters on the sidelines of the Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum.

"We will produce as much as we are allowed to produce," he said, noting that Russia’s output is constrained by the OPEC+ agreement. "We very much hope that we will be allowed to produce more than last year. And we are capable of fulfilling this task," Maganov added.

Tatneft’s oil production totaled 27.8 mln metric tons in 2025, up 1.9% year-on-year.

Tatneft is among the ten largest Russian oil companies by production volume. Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan is the company’s main shareholder, holding 34% of ordinary shares. Around 3% is represented by treasury shares, while 13% is held in ADRs. Other shareholders own 50% of the company’s shares.
