Development of new weapons, civilian transport: statements by Rostec CEO
By 2030, Rostec plans to produce as many as 36 MS-21 aircraft, 20 SSJ-100 aircraft, and 12 Il-114 aircraft
MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/. The main goal of Rostec enterprises is to fulfill the state defense procurement plan to bring victory in Ukraine closer, the state corporation’s CEO Sergey Chemezov said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Defense procurement
The main goal of Rostec enterprises is to fulfill the state defense procurement plan to bring victory in Ukraine closer: "We are, after all, a defense company, our main task is to fulfill the state defense procurement plan and do everything to bring us closer to victory."
Rostec’s defense procurement fulfillment rate is "at a fairly high level - 99.5%." "And we fulfill the plan for the most in-demand models at 100%."
Development and supply of new weapons
Last year, the Rostec State Corporation began supplying the new Sarma multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) to the military.
The main advantage of the combat vehicle is its power, mobility, and fortitude. "Because the cabin, where the crew is located, is armored. It only takes three minutes to deploy to position and get ready to fire, and three minutes to withdraw. It’s highly mobile. A full salvo launch takes just 18 seconds."
Rostec has developed the Scalpel unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a maneuverable X-wing drone capable of striking vulnerable targets from any angle: "Last year, we developed new drones, loitering munitions. And now we have a new X-wing drone, the Scalpel. It is highly maneuverable and can strike any vulnerable point from any angle."
Aircraft manufacturing
Rostec expects to complete certification of the MS-21 aircraft in the first quarter of 2027 and begin serial production: "For the MS-21, a third of the certification flights have been completed. I hope that we will complete them in the first quarter of next year and begin serial production next year."
By 2030, Rostec plans to produce as many as 36 MS-21 aircraft, 20 SSJ-100 aircraft, and 12 Il-114 aircraft.
Rostec expects to begin serial production of the import-substituting Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) aircraft in 2027: "Regarding the Superjets, 80% of all certification flights have been completed, and we plan to receive certification this year. We will begin serial production next year."
Rostec expects to begin serial production of the Mi-171A3 medium-lift, multirole offshore helicopter this year, and expects serial supplies of the import-substituting Ansat helicopter in 2027: "We have completed certification tests for the Mi-171A3 offshore helicopter. This aircraft is very much needed by our oil and gas companies. And we will begin its mass production this year; all certifications have already been completed."
Automotive industry
Kamaz Automobile Plant will supply Moscow with 700 large-class A5 generation electric buses by 2027; a contract has already been signed: "A large-class A5 generation electric bus with a higher-capacity traction battery, manufactured domestically. Incidentally, the batteries are manufactured by Rosatom; these are very good batteries, for a drive range of 110 kilometers. A contract has already been signed with Moscow for the supply of 700 of these electric buses by 2027." AvtoVAZ’s new Lada Azimut crossover will positively change consumer attitudes toward the Russian auto industry: "I’m confident that such cars will positively change attitudes, including those of consumers, towards our domestic auto industry."
