Passenger traffic at Dubai Airport drops 66% yoy in March amid US-Iran war

NEW YORK, May 4. /TASS/. Passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport (DBX), one of the world's busiest air hubs, declined 65.7% year-on-year in March amid the US-Iran war, Dubai Airports, the operator, reported.
"DBX welcomed 18.6 million guests in the first quarter of 2026, a 20.6% decrease year-on-year, reflecting air travel disruptions that worsened in March. Passenger traffic in March totaled 2.5 million, a 65.7% decrease year-on-year," the company said.
The largest number of passengers in the first quarter came from India (2.5 million), followed by Saudi Arabia (1.3 million) and the United Kingdom (1.2 million). Cargo traffic over the same period fell by 22.7%, to 400,000 tons.
