Cyprus presidency the Council of the European Union noted that the bloc is not currently facing a shortage of jet fuel, but current price dynamics are putting pressure on the European aviation sector, the publication wrote.

The European Commission is expected to present an official communication on Wednesday with recommendations for member states on how to respond to the situation. According to a draft document, the Commission plans to urge EU governments to "support alternatives to air travel," the outlet wrote.
