Trade turnover between China, Iran down 50% year-on-year in January-March

China’s imports of Iranian products decreased by 56.7% in the reporting period to $415.5 mln

BEIJING, April 20. /TASS/. Trade turnover between China and Iran amounted to $1.55 bln in Q1 2026, which is 50% lower than in the same period in 2025, according to figures released by the General Administration of Customs of China.

China’s imports of Iranian products decreased by 56.7% in the reporting period to $415.5 mln, while Chinese supplies to Iran fell by 47.1% to $1.14 bln. In March of this year, the volume of trade between the two countries amounted to $184.6 mln, down by 64.1% month-on-month, and down by 79.6% year-on-year.
