Iran war puts Europe in difficult position amid rejection of Russian resources — media
With the escalation of tensions in the Middle East, European countries are seeing "a second important source of energy supplies dry up," the newspaper said
GENEVA, April 4. /TASS/. The US-Israeli war against Iran has put Europe in a difficult position due to its refusal to use Russian energy resources, Switzerland’s Neue Zurcher Zeitung reported.
According to the newspaper, with the escalation of tensions in the Middle East, European countries are seeing "a second important source of energy supplies dry up." At the same time, regional countries are unlikely to become more dependent on an unpredictable partner like Washington.
"For Europe, which <...> is trying to phase out Russian imports, the situation is now becoming difficult," Neue Zurcher Zeitung emphasized. The newspaper mentioned that against this backdrop, "voices opposing the abandonment of Russian energy resources are growing louder once again in Europe.".
