Egypt may expand air service with Russian for tourism in Mediterranean
Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said that tourist exchanges between Egypt and Russia are an important factor in developing bilateral relations
MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Foreign Minister of Egypt Badr Abdelatty discussed importance of strengthening tourist exchanges between Russia and Egypt and the expansion of the air service to open new tourism centers on the Mediterranean coast with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
Tourist exchanges between Egypt and Russia are an important factor in developing bilateral relations, Abdelatty said at the press conference after talks.
"Since Egypt is able to provide for security and comfort for our friends - tourists from Russia, I also agree with Mr. Lavrov regarding importance of developing the air service between airports in our countries to open new centers of Russian tourism not only on the Red Sea coast but also on the Mediterranean coast, for example, in cities of Al Alamein, Halaib, and others," the top Egyptian diplomat said.
Cairo can "support the air service between Russian cities and Al Alamein and Alexandria," he added.
The Foreign Minister of Egypt is in Moscow with the working visit. Russian President Vladimir Putin received Abdelatty on Thursday. The minister had a meeting with Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu later on that day.
