ST. PETERSBURG, April 2. /TASS/. BRICS countries form the nucleus of the development of the trans-Arctic transport corridor, Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev told reporters on the sidelines of an international transport and logistics forum.

"Transitioning to the use of the transport corridor as a huge global artery, a world-wide route is the final goal. We can see growing Russian exports, and growing interest from our foreign partners, primarily BRICS countries, as preconditions for that," Likhachev said. "And primarily BRICS countries form the nucleus of the development of the trans-Arctic transport corridor," he added.

According to him, countries that are not currently friendly also continue to discuss the possibility of using this route.
