Russia to request observance of ceasefire during evacuation of staff from Bushehr NPP
Alexey Likhachev did not specify the exact date for the start of the next wave of evacuation
ST. PETERSBURG, April 2. /TASS/. Russia will ask all parties, including Israel and the United States, to strictly observe a ceasefire regime during the evacuation of personnel from the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev stated to journalists on the sidelines of the International Transport and Logistics Forum.
"Naturally, the routes of movement will be communicated to the competent authorities of both Israel and the United States through all available channels. We will ask for the strictest observance of a ceasefire regime while the convoys are moving. I would also like to express a few words of gratitude. Gratitude to the government of Iran, to our partners, the Iranian nuclear specialists, and to the government of Armenia for the previous evacuations, because we carried them out through the Iranian-Armenian border," the Rosatom CEO said.
Likhachev did not specify the exact date for the start of the next wave of evacuation. "We take things hour by hour on this matter. I do not want to name specific dates at this point. Much depends on the specific military and political situation in the region. Any events can either delay or accelerate this evacuation. But once again, I repeat that we are now functioning not day by day, but hour by hour," Likhachev emphasized.
