Shishkarev and Rostec agree to establish a joint venture
According to the report, the goal of this collaboration is to strengthen Delo Group’s positions as a national transport and logistics integrator
MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Founder and chairman of the board of directors of Delo Group Sergey Shishkarev and Rostec State Corporation signed a memorandum of cooperation in connection with their joint participation in Delo Group on April 2, the businessman’s spokesman told reporters.
“Rostec State Corporation and Sergey N. Shishkarev have agreed to enter into a joint venture to manage and develop Delo Group. The goal of this collaboration is to strengthen Delo Group’s positions as a national transport and logistics integrator, a leading player in the multimodal logistics market both in Russia and internationally,” according to the report.
Shishkarev and Rostec intend to create a joint company, the strategic management of which will be carried out jointly. A representative will be nominated by the businessman for operational management.
Moreover, as part of their cooperation, the parties intend to facilitate the implementation of Russia’s transport strategy and national projects, in particular, by ensuring an increase in non-resource, non-energy exports.
“The agreement with Rostec State Corporation is a logical step in the development of Delo Group as a national transport and logistics integrator considering the upcoming completion of our partnership with Rosatom State Corporation. I expect our shared understanding of priorities and approaches to business management with Rostec, coupled with our expertise and competencies, will allow us to qualitatively reboot not only the group’s business but also make an active and tangible contribution to strengthening the country’s transport sovereignty,” Shishkarev said.
Delo Group is a Russian transport and logistics holding company, a leader in maritime and rail container handling, as well as deep-sea grain transshipment in the country. The group owns marine and land terminals, manages a fleet of flatcars and containers, and operates its own fleet.
