Ban on gasoline exports from Russia extended to producers of petroleum products

The restriction will not apply to supplies under international intergovernmental agreements

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. The Russian government has extended gasoline export restrictions effective until July 31, 2026, to direct producers of petroleum products. The corresponding decree has been signed, the cabinet’s press service reported.

"The decision was made to maintain a stable situation on the domestic fuel market during a period of high seasonal demand and agricultural field work, as well as in connection with the rise in global oil prices due to the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East," the report said. The restriction will not apply to supplies under international intergovernmental agreements, according to the report.

The resolution comes into force on the day of its official publication.
