Consumer prices gained 0.58% since early March and 2.95% year to date
MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Inflation in Russia declined from 0.19% a week before to 0.17% during the period from March 24 to 30, the Russian Federal Statistics Service, Rosstat, reported.
Consumer prices gained 0.58% since early March and 2.95% year to date. In annual terms, inflation was 5.94% as of March 30.
In the food segment, the price hike was the most notable for carrots (+1.6%), hen eggs (+1%), white cabbage and granulated sugar (+0.8%). The prices dropped by 4.2% for cucumbers, 0.5% for butter and 0.3% for chicken meat.
Motor gasoline prices gained 0.3%. Diesel fuel prices added 0.2%.
