Aeroflot compensates shortfall in carriage to UAE by Asia — CEO

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Aeroflot has actually compensated the shortfall in transportation to the United Arab Emirates on account of re-orientation to countries in Asia, CEO Sergey Aleksandrovsky said in an interview with Vesti program.

"We planned to carry about 68,000 passengers to the United Arab Emirates in March, a fairly large volume," he said. "However, we made the decision in just several days, revised our schedule and redirected aircraft to markets of Thailand, China and Vietnam, and actually compensated the volumes we planned to carry to the United Arab Emirates," the chief executive noted.

US and Israeli attacks against Iran resulted in the twofold increase in jet fuel prices in a number of countries, executive director of Aviaport agency Oleg Panteleev said earlier.
